Ruben Ferreira lives and paints in London, and sees himself as a modern missionary, spreading the gospel through his art. His studio is his “convent cell” where each painting become part of his prayers and communion with the Saints, Mother Mary and God. He gives workshops and inspirational talks across the world on Art, Creativity and Faith. He speaks on how Art can change hearts and mentalities, teaching us the value and uniqueness of each human being. For painter Ruben Ferreira, Sacred Art needs to be a place of encounter, showing humanity, closeness, and the presence of God today, in our times and daily lives. Art should provoke, and wake the accommodated or indifferent hearts for a reality as alive today as it was 2000 years ago. God is with us.
